Easygenerator is clearly gaining a lot of traction. Not only did we welcome user number 2000 (in 96 countries) for our free edition, we are also mentioned a couple of times in important publications. We are in Graig Weiss top 10, we are (according to Joe ganci) 'One of the right tools for the job, and we made the top 10 of the top5online colleges. Not a bad run.

We have a new version of easygenerator released, it is rolled out to all free edition instances and all subscription instances in the past weeks to enable you to create even better eLearning courses. In this blog we will give you an overview off some of the new functionalities.

We launched the free edition of our online elearning authoring tool November 1st at DevLearn. This week we registered user number 1.000. This post is to celebrate that first milestone. This post also contains information on extra functionality we will make available to the users of the free edition in the comming period and some facts and figures about those users.

Easygenerator will be present at the DevLearn conference in Las Vegas. We are looking forward to this event a lot. Last year we had the official launch of easygenerator in the USA, this year we will officialy launch our free edition at Devlearn.

I started working at easygenerator in December 2010 we redefined the mission and vision of our company. 18 months later we have learned a lot and it has had its influence on our mission and vision. It is not that our essence has changed; it's more about finding better words to express ourselves. So here is the update.

E-learning development usually is a team process. Most of you will come across the situation that, besides you, different subject matter experts within a company are involved. Subject matter experts play a very important part in the development process. However, most subject matter experts don’t have instructional design skills. This fact makes the process a bit complicated. Usually the question arises: how much involvement do I really want?

We are very proud to announce a partnership between 'Thinking Tree' and easygenerator. Thinking Tree will market and sell easygenerators online e-Learning platform in the Indian market.

Easygenerator offers lots of facilities to involve subject matter experts in the authoring process (see previous post), but there is always the problem of buying licenses or subscriptions for them. One of the characteristics of subject matter experts is that they will often contribute to specific projects for a short period of time. Easygenerator now has a new 'concurrent' model for this specific group of users that solves this issue.
