October 14, Houston, Texas – Easygenerator has won the Bronze Excellence in Blended Learning Award, one of the highest honors in the corporate learning space. This award is presented by Chief Learning Officer (CLO Media) for outstanding achievements in the corporate learning industry.

Easygenerator won the award in recognition of its work helping Electrolux move from face-to-face learning to a blended learning approach to scale their training output and support their Sales and Services Training team.

In the past year, 80 trainers at Electrolux have created nearly 2,000 new training resources for the blended learning program by adopting Easygenerator. The new program now supports 20,000 sales and support employees within the Electrolux ecosystem.

Cutting costs

With thousands of store staff members (working for retail partners) and service technicians (working for independent service providers or employed by Electrolux) to educate, spread out over dozens of countries, face-to-face training was hardly sustainable from a cost point of view. Cutting training costs is imperative to remaining competitive, especially at a company like Electrolux which sees training as an integral part of its business success.

Using tools like Easygenerator, the Electrolux Training team started building its content in-house. They now distribute the tool to a central pool of 80 trainers who can easily start using it without any additional training or outsourcing costs.

Faster content development

In the past, content creation at Electrolux had generally involved multiple rounds of reviews and content discrepancies which demanded time from trainers to correct. The new approach empowers the Electrolux team to create content at the speed they want, without depending on complicated tools or external vendors. With Easygenerator, trainers take full responsibility, from creating content to translating it.

“We are very pleased to receive this award, especially for our work with Electrolux. Their story proves that learning and development are crucial to the success of any business. Electrolux had the bold idea of placing its training department within the sales umbrella. By doing so, the ROI for training becomes much more tangible, which overcomes a recurring issue that many learning and development managers struggle with. Hats off to Cecilie and Eva at Electrolux for making our Employee-generated Learning model a key component of scaling the training program at their company,” says Kasper Spiro, CEO of Easygenerator.

Easygenerator has been providing cloud-based authoring software since 2013. Their easy-to-use platform empowers employees to quickly create their own engaging content, instead of having to rely on traditional training methods. The Rotterdam-based company has more than 50,000 users in over 150 countries. Its clients include companies like T-Mobile, Unilever, and Kellogg’s. Easygenerator has experienced more than 100% growth each year since 2013.
