EasyCoach is our top pick for practicing change management conversations. Learning and development (L&D) teams build roleplays from their own change plans, so managers rehearse the real announcement, at a flat fee with unlimited learners. Tough Tongue AI suits teams that want published prices, Tenor suits leadership programs, and Skillsoft CAISY suits Skillsoft customers.
Key takeaways
- EasyCoach is our top pick for L&D-led change programs. Teams build each roleplay from their own change plan, FAQ, and talking points, and the flat fee covers every manager who needs to practice.
- Four tools let you score against your own criteria. EasyCoach, Tough Tongue AI, Exec, and Yoodli let you set the scoring criteria, while Tenor, Coachello, Skillsoft CAISY, and LinkedIn Learning score on their own models.
- Few tools name change conversations directly. Tough Tongue AI, Tenor, Exec, and Skillsoft CAISY document change or restructuring scenarios, and most other tools rely on you to build them.
- Coaching platforms add a human or an always-on coach. Coachello pairs AI roleplay with certified coaches, and Valence and CoachHub put an AI coach next to practice.
Change management conversation practice lets managers rehearse the announcement before the real one
AI roleplay for change management is software that plays an employee who hears about a change, so a manager can rehearse the conversation before it happens. The AI counterpart asks hard questions, pushes back, or goes quiet, and the tool scores how the manager explained the change and handled the reaction.
Most managers are not ready for these conversations. In a Gartner survey of HR leaders from July 2024, 73% said their employees are fatigued from change, and 74% said their managers are not equipped to lead it.
Roleplay practice also changes what senior leaders spend their time on. “Leadership stopped being asked to run every single repetition of roleplay,” says William Salm, Learning and Development Specialist at Equity Trust Company, after his team moved practice into EasyCoach. “Instead, what they got to do is review the outputs, look at the data, and that’s a fraction of the time and a much higher value use of their attention.” (Equity Trust Company customer story).
Three kinds of tools sit close to this category but are not in this comparison.
- Change management methods and certifications, such as Prosci, teach a framework for planning change. They do not give managers a counterpart to practice with.
- Change and adoption platforms plan, track, and communicate the change itself. They do not offer conversation practice.
- General chatbots, such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, can play an employee in a chat. They have no consistent scorecard and no team reporting, so they work for preparation more than for practice.
How we evaluated AI tools for change management conversations
We scored each tool on three criteria. The same three criteria run through the comparison table and the sub-headings inside every full entry below.
Counterpart realism. Whether the AI employee has its own concerns and holds its position, whether managers practice by voice, and whether the tool supports more than one counterpart, such as a team meeting.
Scenario setup and upkeep. Who builds the scenarios, from what material, and how much work it takes to update them when the change plan or the FAQ changes.
Feedback and scoring. Whether the tool scores each attempt against criteria you set, such as your change messaging or your leadership framework, and whether L&D sees team-level progress.
How we graded each criterion
Counterpart realism. High means voice practice with a counterpart whose own concerns, emotional state, or resistance level the scenario defines, such as an employee who fears for their role. Medium means voice or text practice with a counterpart that reacts to the manager, without documented concerns or resistance settings. Low means text-only or scripted branching practice.
Scenario setup and upkeep. High means your own team builds and updates scenarios from its own material in a no-code tool. Medium means vendor-led setup, self-serve building the vendor does not document, or a reported rollout of two months or more. Low means the vendor builds every scenario.
Feedback and scoring. High means the tool scores each attempt against criteria you set, with team-level reporting. Medium means scoring on vendor-defined dimensions, or team reporting the vendor does not document. Low means no scoring.
Low is not a failing grade. It describes what a tool does, and a Low on one criterion can sit next to a High on another in the same entry.
Ownership disclosure
EasyCoach is our own product, and Easygenerator publishes this article. We reviewed all other tools independently, from G2 profiles and each vendor’s own published pages, and we checked all ratings and prices on November 2, 2026.
What we deliberately did not score
We did not test speech accuracy or response speed ourselves, so run one of your own upcoming change announcements through each tool before you decide. We also did not score change management methods or certifications, because this article compares practice tools. We did not grade pricing either, because the tools charge in ways that do not compare on one scale, from flat fees to per-seat plans, minutes, and content licenses. Each entry lists the pricing instead.
Comparison table of 8 AI tools for change management conversations
Scoring against your own criteria splits this field most. Four tools let you set the scoring criteria, and four score on the vendor’s own model.
| Tool | Counterpart realism | Scenario setup and upkeep | Feedback and scoring | G2 rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EasyCoach | High, concerns, emotional state, and resistance you define | High, built from your own change documents | High, scored against your criteria | 4.7/5 from 197 reviews, whole Easygenerator platform |
| Tough Tongue AI | High, stakeholders with a tuned pushback style | High, custom scenarios in 15 to 30 minutes | High, rubric you write | No rating confirmed |
| Exec | High, reactions the scenario defines, up to four AI characters | Medium, two-month implementation on G2 | High, scorecards with pass levels | 4.8/5 from 42 reviews |
| Yoodli | High, personas built on your objections | High, Yoodli Create on business plans | High, custom rubrics plus dashboards | 4.8/5 from 65 reviews |
| Tenor | Medium, characters that react with emotion | Medium, 150+ prebuilt scenarios, custom building not documented | Medium, competency feedback set by the vendor | No rating confirmed |
| Coachello | Medium, AI avatar roleplays | Medium, programs generated from skill gaps | Medium, aggregated insights for HR | 4.7/5 from 32 reviews |
| Skillsoft CAISY | High, defensive, dismissive, or accepting behavior | Medium, custom simulations in limited preview | Medium, adaptive feedback and a detailed report | 4.1/5 from 107 reviews, whole Percipio platform |
| LinkedIn Learning AI Role Play | High, goals, roles, and personality set per scenario | High, custom role plays in LinkedIn Learning Hub | Medium, transcript-based strengths and improvements | 4.4/5 from 720 reviews, whole LinkedIn Learning platform |
We checked all G2 ratings and review counts in this table on November 2, 2026. G2 counts move in both directions as reviews are added and removed, so figures on pages published earlier may differ. “No rating confirmed” means we could not confirm a G2 score on that date.
Three kinds of AI tools for change conversations, and which one your team needs
Start with who owns the change program. If L&D builds the practice, a platform you configure yourself fits best. If the change sits inside a leadership program, a coaching platform may already cover it. If your managers learn in Skillsoft or LinkedIn Learning, roleplay may already be part of your license.
- Practice platforms your L&D team builds for any conversation. These tools play whatever employee you describe, so one platform covers a reorg, a new process, and a layoff.
- Leadership and manager coaching platforms. These tools pair roleplay with an AI or human coach, inside a wider manager development program.
- Roleplay inside learning suites. These tools add conversation practice to a content library your organization already licenses.
Practice platforms your L&D team builds for any conversation
These tools play counterparts that your L&D team builds from its own change material. We cover the wider category in our guide to the best AI roleplay tools for leadership training.
How the tools compare. EasyCoach is our top pick, for L&D teams that build the change course and the matching roleplay in one platform at a flat fee. Tough Tongue AI is best for teams that want prebuilt change communication scenarios and published monthly plans. Exec is best for teams that want roleplay, courses, and certification from one vendor at a published per-seat price. Yoodli is best for teams that want delivery coaching next to practice.
Best fit for. Enterprises that roll out changes to many teams and want every manager to rehearse the same message.
Tools in this category. EasyCoach, Tough Tongue AI, Exec, and Yoodli, with Mursion and VirtualSpeech as short entries.
1. EasyCoach
EasyCoach is Easygenerator’s AI roleplay tool, sold standalone or bundled with an Easygenerator plan. Managers practice a change conversation by voice or text against an AI employee that pushes back, hesitates, and changes the subject (EasyCoach).
EasyCoach sits inside a dedicated e-learning authoring platform. Your L&D team can build the change course in Easygenerator, then build the matching roleplay from the same change plan and FAQ. Odido, for example, gives its team managers separate scenarios for difficult performance conversations and for team members who are not meeting targets (Odido customer story).
Counterpart realism
High. Authors define the AI employee’s role, background, goals, emotional state, and objections, and they can adjust its resistance level after the roleplay is generated (EasyCoach best practices). That lets an employee worry about their role or doubt the reason for the change. Roleplays run in more than 70 languages, and a 2026 update made 40 of them newly voice enabled (Easygenerator product update). We found no documented support for several counterparts in one session, such as a team meeting.
Scenario setup and upkeep
High. Authors describe the conversation in a chat with the EasyCoach Assistant, which builds the roleplay. A requested change to the scenario, a role, or the tone updates the roleplay details, skills, and scoring criteria together (Easygenerator product update). When the change plan moves, one message updates the roleplay.
Feedback and scoring
High. EasyCoach scores every session against criteria your team defines and saves every attempt, so L&D sees progress across managers. Each organization decides whether managers see full sessions or only an aggregate skill score (EasyCoach).
Pricing. A flat fee with unlimited roleplays, sessions, and learners, so cost does not rise when every manager practices. Easygenerator does not publish the price, so contact sales for a quote (Easygenerator pricing).
Standout features
- Change roleplays built from your own change plan, FAQ, and talking points
- AI employees with concerns, emotions, and a resistance level you set
- Scoring against criteria your team defines
- More than 70 languages, with voice practice in many of them
- Roleplays you can launch from your learning management system (LMS)
Pros
- The change course and the roleplay come from the same documents, in the same platform
- A flat fee with unlimited learners, which matters when hundreds of managers announce the same change
- Subject-matter experts can build scenarios, not only instructional designers
- Customer stories from Odido and Equity Trust Company
Cons
- No documented support for team meetings with several AI employees
- No prebuilt library of change scenarios
- No published pricing
- Its G2 rating covers the whole Easygenerator platform, not EasyCoach alone
Best for
- L&D teams at enterprises with 1,000 or more employees that run their own change programs
- Organizations where every manager must deliver the same change message
- Multilingual teams
- Programs where per-seat pricing would grow with every manager
G2 rating. 4.7 out of 5 from 197 reviews, for the whole Easygenerator platform.
How we checked. Easygenerator’s G2 profile, the EasyCoach and pricing pages, the EasyCoach help center, product updates, and the Odido and Equity Trust Company customer stories, accessed November 2, 2026.

- Buyers who want a published per-seat price
G2 rating. 4.8 out of 5 from 42 reviews.
How we checked. G2 profile, Exec’s manager training guide, and its pricing page, accessed November 2, 2026.
4. Yoodli
Yoodli is an AI roleplay platform that grew out of speech coaching, with roleplays built on your company’s personas, objections, and scenarios (Yoodli on G2).
Yoodli is best for managers who need to deliver a change message clearly. It measures how someone speaks, such as pacing and filler words, next to what they say (Yoodli AI feedback).
Counterpart realism
High. Learners practice by voice with personas that admins configure, built on your company’s objections and scenarios, and the AI can present slides and documents during a roleplay (Yoodli on G2).
Scenario setup and upkeep

Feedback and scoring
High. Every session is graded against the rubrics your team defines, and Measure dashboards show individual and team readiness (Yoodli on G2).

Which AI tool fits your change program
Pick by who owns the change program and what your managers need to say, then check how each tool scores it. This table names the tool we would shortlist first for each situation.
| Your situation | Tool to shortlist first |
|---|---|
| L&D builds practice for a change that every manager must announce | EasyCoach |
| You want the change course and the roleplay in the same authoring platform | EasyCoach |
| You want a flat fee with unlimited learners instead of per-seat pricing | EasyCoach |
| You want prebuilt change communication scenarios and a published monthly price | Tough Tongue AI |
| You run quarterly manager practice with minimum scores | Exec |
| Managers present the change to a large team and need delivery coaching | Yoodli |
| Change practice sits inside a leadership program with an AI coach | Tenor |
| You want certified human coaches next to AI practice | Coachello |
| Managers need ongoing coaching through a long transformation | Valence |
| Your managers already learn in Skillsoft Percipio | Skillsoft CAISY |
| Your managers already learn in LinkedIn Learning or Microsoft Copilot | LinkedIn Learning AI Role Play |
| The conversation is sensitive enough to need a live human behind the avatar | Mursion |
Where EasyCoach is not the right fit
EasyCoach is not the right choice if you need a library of prebuilt change scenarios on day one, because Tough Tongue AI and Tenor document those and EasyCoach does not. It also does not document team meetings with several AI employees, which Exec supports with up to four AI characters. If you want certified human coaches in the same program, Coachello fits better, and if your managers already learn in Skillsoft or LinkedIn Learning, the roleplay in those suites adds no new vendor.
Test every shortlisted tool with your next real change
Take the next change your managers have to announce, build it as a scenario in each tool, and have two managers practice it. Watch whether the AI employee asks the questions your people will ask, and whether the score matches what your change lead would say about the attempt.
