Monthly training session: Assessment best practices

57% of Easygenerator course assessments are single- or multiple-choice questions. But did you know that using a variety of question types can help your learners engage and retain knowledge?

Humans forget 90% of what they learn within hours of learning it. There’s only one way to beat this forgetting curve, and that’s repetition. This means providing learners with opportunities to repeat the learning in different forms. Don’t just repeat, ask the question and offer the knowledge in different formats, e.g. a quiz, a scenario question, text, visuals, video. In other words, you should make use of a variety of question types in order to gain maximum impact from your course.

Easygenerator has 11 e-learning question types to choose from, and each one of them is ideally suited for different content and situations. But what should you use when, and why?

In our latest monthly training session, I, learning product consultant Videhi Bhamidi, am here to help you improve your question writing skills. In this webinar I cover:

  • The types of questions available in Easygenerator and how they work
  • In which situations to use each question type
  • Assessment best practices
  • The dos and don’ts of each question type
  • How to structure questions
  • What makes a good question and what a bad one
  • The psychological impact of your question wording
  • And much more
