The award was granted for SBM Offshore’s case study titled Scaling Safety with AI in Technical Training. It highlights how the company uses Easygenerator and EasyAI to deliver accurate, localized technical training across a complex organization with limited L&D resources.
SBM Offshore manages extensive technical training across its fleet, where each vessel requires precise procedures. With limited L&D resources, the company partnered with an external agency to build courses in Easygenerator, ensuring training is accurate and continuously updated.
“Having the agency build the courses is just the first step to saving time. As a co-author, I guide the process and make sure the content is accurate. I also make updates afterward,” explains Fernanda Murari, Training Specialist at SBM Offshore Brasil.
By co-authoring with the agency and using EasyAI, SBM Offshore has scaled its technical training without needing a bigger Learning team.
Fernanda also uses Easygenerator’s EasyTranslate feature, powered by Amazon AWS and DeepL, to localize training. This way, there is no need for localization vendors. She notes that Easygenerator “often exceeds the quality of traditional agencies for Portuguese.”
