road map
Easygenerator has a road map that covers more
than two years. This road map is organized around three
themes:
-
Improving the
collaborating facilities
-
Improving the way
you can design and create e-Learning, to make it
easier
-
Improving the
quality and effectiveness of e-Learning for the
learner
As you can see in our releases of 2011 and
2012 we are well on our way of realizing that road
map:
-
Putting the dots on the i's. (March
2012)
-
Improving the
quality and effectiveness of e-Learning (November
2011)
-
Improving the way
you can design and create e-Learning, to make it easier (July
2011)
-
Improving the
collaborating facilities (April 2011)
There is a simple thought behind this and that
is that we have truly great ideas but we don't know everything. We
will repeat this release cycle every year. That gives our customers
a year to work with a certain release (for example our workflow,
task management and version control) and give us feedback on it,
before we start working on that same theme again. This makes it
possible to keep on improving easygenerator, taking our customer
wishes and ideas serious.
Planned releases 2012
These releases will be ready in June (8.2) and October
(8.3). The main attention points are cased based learning and new
learning metaphors which put's the focus on the third point of the
road map: better e-Learning.
Case based learning is a very powerfull form of e-Learning that
really helps connect learning to the business. Creating Cased based
e-Learning is already possible in easygenerator but we came up with
a way to simplify the creation of the complex navigation structure
and we will have a graphical interface, presenting that whole
structure in one overview to the developer.
The new learning metaphors are a way of presenting e-Learning
material in a different way to the learner. The goal is to give him
more insight in the parts he needs to pay attention too and to put
the learner more in control of his own learning process. Kasper
Spiro published a series of blogs on this
subject.
