Easygenerator launches for UK market at Learning Technologies London
After a successful launch in the US last
November -where we impressed Joe Ganci - we will now have our official
launch of easygenerator in the UK. We are proud to present the UK
an authoring tool that has the ability to create adaptive
learning.
An authoring tool that:
· places
learning objectives in the heart of the course and that measures
progress based on correct answered questions per
objective.
· allows
us to advice the learner.
· offers
the learner information about his progress in such a way that it
enables him to make his own decision on how to
progress.
· offers
the possibility to put the responsibility where it should be: with
the learner himself.
Last time I touched on the possibilities of
creating an adaptive course. Today I will pay attention to the
output of such an adaptive course, because that's what counts for a
learner. Courses created with easygenerator are adaptive in several
ways. On the one hand we provide the learner with a personalized
study advice (Figure 1). In
a pre-assessment we determine what he already knows. Based on the
outcome of this pre-assessment we create a study advice that guides
the learner to the parts of the course he hasn't mastered
yet.

advice.
On the other hand we guide our learner by using
the 'guided table of contents' which contains the 'objectives
dashboard' (Figure 2). The
objectives dashboard offers an overview of the (learning)
objectives, the progress per objective and the overall course
progress based on objectives. These features give the learner the
knots and bolts to outline their own learning
path.

Overview of the (learning)
objectives
When the learner clicks on the 'Objectives
button' in the course outline the 'Objectives dashboard' opens
(Figure 2). In this
dashboard he will find an overview of all objectives that are
defined for this course. The overview gives him insight into the
desired learning outcomes and their reaching distance. Once you
click on an objective all related questions and information pages
are pointed out in the table of contents. So when the learner
answers the indicated questions and reads the indicated information
pages he's done for this objective. And the result is based on the
learning objectives instead of meaningless page progress. So it
fits his learning needs and saves him valuable
time.

A checkmark indicates a correct answered question
or an information page you don't have to
read.
|
 |
A light bulb indicates that there are subjects in
the folder you need to pay attention to.
|
 |
A question mark represents a question that you
didn't answer or didn't answer correctly.
|
 |
An information sign represents a content page
with information that you haven't mastered
yet.

Progress per objective and
overall course progress,
based on objectives
Each objective is followed by a progress bar that
shows the progress per objective. When a progress bar is green it
means the objective has been reached. In the table of contents all
questions and pages that are related to this objective will be
followed by a green checkmark.
